I felt totally listened to and heard. They explained everything with kindness and patience. The lady/radiographer who did my x-rays was calm, patient and explained everything, even when I was so nervous and disorientated I forgot my left from my right. This was most definitely the best experience I ever had at any dentist.
Thankyou everyone x
I Cannot recommend this practice enough! I am so grateful to be recommended to attend here for specialist treatment.
My son has had ongoing treatment for 3 years & has now finally finished it. Andy his dentist & all the nurses who kept him calm & safe from the very 1st appointment when my son was still in shock about his accident, to the last appointment when he was a different lad!..As a parent having to watch ur child go through what he did was awful but the support & care given to us both was amazing. Thankyou Andy & everyone at Advanced Dentalcare you really changed my sons life for the better.
Thank you
thank you Andrew and all your team . the only downfall is I can't leave food alone 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Andy and his team are a very caring, helpful, friendly dental practice. I couldn’t recommend them higher, that’s why I drive nearly 30 miles to get there !
Got my smile back 😁
The reception team were really friendly and explained everything to me. I booked in to see Bruce and got an appointment and time slot to suit me. At my appointment, Bruce took time to put me at ease, understand my fears and phobias and talk me through everything before even getting in to the chair.
Following my mouth audit, Bruce talked me through what was needed and the options avalibility. Being incredibly nervous I opted for sedation. I needed to have an extraction, two fillings and a scale and polish. I was expecting quite a large bill but was pleasantly surprised when Bruce talked me through the figures.
I booked in my next appointment with reception. Prior to arriving for extraction day, the team contacted me twice to ask if I had any questions and see if I was still able to make the time.
On extraction day I was incredibly nervous. Bruce put me at ease and we went at my pace. After he answered 101 of my questions, the sedation began.10 seconds in and I can’t remember a thing. I now have a healthy mouth and a couple of hilarious videos.
Bruce gave my husband aftercare advice and made sure I was comfortable before leaving the practice.
I honestly can’t thank Bruce enough for getting me through the process. Whilst I am not over my fear of dentistry, I am confident I have found a dentist in Bruce that I would trust with all my dentistry needs and that I will visit regularly.
If you are a nervous patient and are looking for a dentist that will help you through it, look no further. Thanks team!
The hygienist was lovely and very friendly, this is a bonus as I am not fond of the dentist.
This was my third visit and I am very pleased with the staff.
From the lady's at reception, and Jazz for the work done on my tooth today they were all brilliant!.
I've been petrified of going to dentists for many many years, but today was a whole new experience for me!.
Thank you all so much for making my visit pain and stress free!.
The staff from the moment you arrive are incredibly friendly, the dentist (if he told me his name, I've forgotten owing to my stupid nerves) and the dental nurse were amazing. Totally reassuring, chatty and lovely from start to end.
I'd recommend this surgery to anyone. If you're nervous, genuinely think about coming here. I cried when I walked into the room! Like a total idiot! But after explaining my past experience and being listened to, I totally chilled out.
I cannot thank this place enough going back in June

What Exactly Are Veneers?
Veneers are a wafer-thin overlay which improves the appearance of your teeth. A bit like cling film. Dependent on your needs, porcelain and composite being the most popular.
Should I Get Veneers?
4 Possible Reasons Why You Should
Well there are a wide variety of reasons why you might opt for treatment with dental veneers:
- Discoloured Teeth– Veneers can cover stained teeth that won’t respond to whitening treatments.
- Damaged Teeth– Your teeth maybe damaged for a number of reasons, excessive grinding for example. Veneers can also correct the appearance of chipped or broken teeth. You can also use them for teeth where the enamel has been damaged or a replacement to stop any further damage to the tooth underneath.
- Gaps-Spaces between your teeth can easily be closed using veneers, giving you a more uniform-looking smile, making you feel happier.
- Crooked Teeth– There are only a few cases using Veneers for crooked teeth. If your teeth are not severely crooked you can use Veneers to give the appearance of a perfectly straight smile. Win – win.
Which Are Better, Composite or Porcelain Veneers?
How Long Do Veneers Last?
Porcelain veneers typically last between five and ten years, while composite veneers tend to have a shorter life span. To make your veneers last longer you should treat them as your teeth need to be treated.
Also, ensure that you keep regular appointments to see us to keep your mouth as healthy as can be, try and stick to a good diet and avoid too many acidic foods and foods that can stain your teeth.
The Advance Dental 7 Step Veneer Process
-
Once you are ready to go ahead with treatment your teeth need to be prepared for your new veneers.
- A tiny part of your front teeth will be removed; it will be the same amount as the thickness of your veneers so that they sit perfectly in your smile.
- After that has been done an impression of your teeth will be taken. This then goes to the dental laboratory so that they can make your veneers to fit your teeth exactly.
- While all of this is happening you will have some temporary veneers placed on your teeth to protect the prepared surface of the teeth underneath.
- And when your new veneers are ready you will come back into the practice to have them fitted. First they will just be placed over your teeth so that you can ensure that you are happy with their appearance.
- Then once you are happy your teeth are thoroughly cleaned and the front surface will be roughened so that they provide a good surface for the bonding material between your tooth and the veneer to stick to.
- Next a curing light is used to activate the bonding cement so that it permanently bonds your tooth and veneer, once this has been done you will be left with a beautiful and natural looking new smile.
